Gold Coast, Australia (November 8th, 2022) — Moochies, the Australian pioneer of the smartphone watch for kids, today announced the release of special edition Transformers and My Little Pony watch bundles just in time for Christmas.
Developed in partnership with global branded entertainment leader, Hasbro, the bundles will include a Transformers or My Little Pony strap featuring recognizable characters, watch face, and wallpapers, a spare strap, and a screen protector — along with a Moochies Odyssey or Connect model smartphone watch.
In an Australian-first for children’s smart watches, video calls can now be made in HD via the Odyssey, while both the Odyssey and the Connect feature a 10 percent battery life increase, ensuring kids can more consistently stay connected with their watches and their families.

The idea for Moochies was conceived when one of the team’s cofounders was shopping with his sister at Robina Town Centre on the Gold Coast and her six-year-old daughter ran off into the crowd. After seeing the stress, anxiety, and panic those few minutes of uncertainty caused, founder and COO Ryan O’Neill started thinking about a modern solution that could give kids the freedom to be kids.

● Swappable Straps — straps come in a range of colours and designs to suit every child’s personality
● Waterproof — The Odyssey is waterproof to IP68 (can be submerged in up to 1.5 metres of water for 15 minutes)
● Games — inbuilt educational games (without advertising)
● Heart Rate and Temperature monitor — allows fitness goals to be tracked and rewarded
● Bluetooth — to connect with accessories including speakers and headphones
Moochies is also plastic-neutral, and donates a portion of all sales to the non profit RePurpose Global, which removes and recycles the same weight of plastic Moochies uses in production and distribution.
The Special Edition Transformers and My Little Pony bundles will be available exclusively through Big W from mid-November. The Moochies Odyssey bundles will retail at $219, while the Moochies Connect bundle will retail at $159. Bundles are also set launch in the UK later this year, with further roll out planned in the EU and US in 2023.
